Set Up Email in Outlook (IMAP Settings)

Outlook connects to Faivelo over IMAP in a couple of minutes. Faivelo publishes Autodiscover records for your domain, so recent Outlook versions often find every setting from just your email address and password — the manual steps below cover the rest.

Your username is always your full email address. The password is the mailbox password chosen when it was created.

Step by step

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Go to File > Add Account
  3. Enter you@yourdomain.com and click Connect
  4. Select IMAP
  5. For incoming mail server, enter mx.faivelo.com (port 993)
  6. For outgoing mail server, enter mx.faivelo.com (port 587)
  7. Enter your password and click Connect
Outlook may auto-discover settings if Autodiscover DNS records are configured.

Good to know

  • Try the automatic path first: File → Add Account, type your address, click Connect, and enter the password when asked. Outlook reads our Autodiscover DNS records and fills the servers in itself.
  • If Outlook keeps asking for the password, the username may be wrong — it must be the full email address, not a Windows or Microsoft account.
  • New Outlook (the Windows 11 app) and classic Outlook both support IMAP; the menus differ slightly but the servers and ports are identical.

Common questions

What are the IMAP settings for Outlook?

Incoming (IMAP): mx.faivelo.com, port 993, SSL/TLS. Outgoing (SMTP): mx.faivelo.com, port 587, STARTTLS. Username is your full email address.

Outlook says "repeated redirects detected" or cannot find settings. What now?

Choose manual/advanced setup, pick IMAP, and enter the servers yourself: mx.faivelo.com with ports 993 (incoming) and 587 (outgoing).

Does my calendar sync into Outlook too?

Outlook connects to mail over IMAP; calendars live in Faivelo webmail. Many teams keep Outlook for mail and open webmail for calendar, or subscribe to the calendar feed.

Can I use the same account on Outlook mobile?

Yes — add an IMAP account in Outlook for iOS/Android with the same servers and your full address.
