Set Up Email on iPhone & iPad (Apple Mail, IMAP)

Your Faivelo mailbox works with the built-in Mail app on iPhone and iPad over IMAP. Type the settings once using the steps below — or use the one-tap configuration profile from your Faivelo dashboard, which fills everything in for you.

Your username is always your full email address. The password is the mailbox password chosen when it was created.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap Mail > Accounts > Add Account
  3. Tap Other > Add Mail Account
  4. Enter your name, email you@yourdomain.com, and password
  5. Tap Next and select IMAP
  6. For incoming mail server, enter mx.faivelo.com
  7. For outgoing mail server, enter mx.faivelo.com
  8. Tap Save

Good to know

  • One-tap alternative: in the Faivelo dashboard open the mailbox and choose "Set up on iPhone or Mac" — then on the device open Settings, tap the "Profile Downloaded" banner, and Install.
  • iOS asks for both an incoming and outgoing server during manual setup — they are the same host: mx.faivelo.com.
  • If sending fails but receiving works, open Settings → Mail → Accounts → your account → SMTP and confirm the outgoing server uses port 587 with your full address as the username.

Common questions

Should I pick IMAP or POP?

IMAP. It keeps everything on the server so your iPhone, computer, and webmail stay in sync. POP downloads and removes mail, which almost nobody wants today.

What are the exact server settings?

Incoming (IMAP): mx.faivelo.com, port 993, SSL. Outgoing (SMTP): mx.faivelo.com, port 587, STARTTLS. Username is your full email address on both.

Will I get notifications for new mail?

Yes. iOS fetches IMAP accounts on a schedule you control under Settings → Mail → Accounts → Fetch New Data. For instant notifications, the Faivelo webmail app added to your home screen supports push.

Can I use a different app like Outlook or Spark on iPhone?

Yes — any IMAP-capable app works with the same settings. Enter mx.faivelo.com for both servers and sign in with your full address.
