Resend is one of the best APIs for sending email from an app, and we say so plainly. Faivelo sends the same kind of email from the same kind of API. The difference shows up a minute later, when the customer hits reply.
Your app sends a receipt from billing@yourcompany.com. The customer replies: "I was charged twice." On both services the send itself is a single API call with similar code, a template and an idempotency key.
On Resend, if you have set up Inbound, the reply arrives as an email.received webhook with the metadata, and your code fetches the body through the Receiving API. From there it is yours to store, route and answer. Resend has no mailbox for it to sit in, so a person on your team only sees it if you build that view or forward it somewhere.
On Faivelo, billing@ is a real mailbox. The reply lands in its inbox, threaded under the receipt, where your team can read and answer it in webmail or any mail app. Your code can read it too, over the REST API or MCP, and on Pro a message.received webhook fires the moment it arrives.
Sending is a solved problem. The reply is where the two products part ways.

Monthly list prices, checked 4 October 2026. Faivelo plans also include hosted email for your team.
Resend is cheaper for pure sending at volume and has a free plan. Faivelo costs less only when you count what comes with it: every plan also hosts your team's mailboxes, so you are not paying Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 per seat on top.
Where Resend is the better pick
Choose Resend for an app that sends a lot and rarely needs to read replies. It has a free tier, React Email, SDKs in many languages, a hosted MCP server, scale plans up to 2.5 million emails, and up to 1,000 domains on Scale. Faivelo allows 1 sending domain on Starter and Growth, 3 on Pro and 10 on Business.
Where Faivelo is the better pick
Choose Faivelo when replies matter: support, billing, sales, onboarding, and AI agents that hold conversations. You get real mailboxes on your domain for the team and the agents, automatic DNS setup, a visual template editor, a hosted MCP server with OAuth for Claude, and one flat bill for the API and the team's email. Switching is mostly a find and replace: same idea of API keys, templates and idempotency, documented at faivelo.com/docs/api.
Run the reply test yourself
Start a trial, add your domain, send yourself a test from the API and reply to it. Fourteen days, no card.
