Is there an email provider cheaper than Titan Mail?

Titan is cheap for one mailbox on a long prepaid term and expensive for a team. What Hostinger and HostGator charge per mailbox after the intro price, and how to move.

For one mailbox on a four-year prepaid term, probably not. For three or more mailboxes, or anyone who would rather pay monthly, yes. Here is the renewal math from the resellers' own pricing pages, and what moving involves.

Who you are actually paying

Titan does not sell to you directly. It is the email product behind the "business email" checkbox at web hosts and registrars, so the price on your invoice is set by the reseller and by the term you chose at checkout. That is why two Titan customers can pay very different amounts for the same inbox.

The two resellers people ask us about most are Hostinger and HostGator. On hostinger.com/email-hosting, checked 6 October 2026, the plans are simply called Starter, Standard and Premium, and the page no longer says Titan anywhere. HostGator's Titan page (hostgator.com/titan, same date) lists Professional Email "starting at $1.67/mo" with 10 GB, and renders the exact intro and renewal figures as placeholders, so we cannot quote them. Namecheap's Private Email is a separate product, not Titan, and is priced differently.

What a mailbox costs after the first term

Hostinger's page is unusually clear about renewals, so it makes the best worked example. Starter is $0.39 a month per mailbox on a 48-month term, then renews at $1.59 a month per mailbox, again on a 48-month term, with 5 GB and 5 aliases. Standard is $0.99, renewing at $2.79, with 20 GB. Premium is $1.99, renewing at $3.99, with 50 GB. Every plan is paid upfront: the monthly rate is the total divided by the number of months.

1$1.59 a month ($76.32 for 48 months)$2.79 a month ($133.92 for 48 months)$6 a month
3$4.77 a month ($228.96 for 48 months)$8.37 a month ($401.76 for 48 months)$6 a month
5$7.95 a month ($381.60 for 48 months)$13.95 a month ($669.60 for 48 months)$6 a month
10$15.90 a month ($763.20 for 48 months)$27.90 a month ($1,339.20 for 48 months)$6 a month

Hostinger renewal prices from hostinger.com/email-hosting, checked 6 October 2026, 48-month terms paid upfront. Faivelo Starter is $6 a month ($5 on yearly billing) for unlimited mailboxes on up to three domains.

The crossover is four mailboxes on Starter and three on Standard. Below that, Hostinger is cheaper per month, as long as you are happy to prepay four years. Above it, every address you add costs more at the reseller and nothing at a flat-rate host.

Where Titan is the better deal

One person, one address, and no plans to grow: pay the $1.59 and move on. Titan's apps are polished, a calendar and contacts come with the mailbox, and Hostinger adds a 30-day money-back window. If your website already lives at the same host, one invoice for both is a real convenience.

The deal only turns sour when the business adds people. support@ for the website, billing@ for invoices, a second founder, a part-timer: each one is another mailbox on the next 48-month bill.

The intro price is per mailbox. So is the renewal.

What $6 a month buys instead

Faivelo charges $6 a month for the account, not the address. Unlimited mailboxes and aliases on up to three domains, 10 GB of pooled storage, webmail, IMAP and SMTP for any mail app, and a catch-all. Growth is $12 for unlimited domains and 200 GB. There is no first-term price, so the renewal is the same number you signed up at, and you can pay monthly.

What you give up: the shared invoice with your web host, and a calendar on the entry plan (it arrives on Growth). The full side-by-side is on Faivelo vs Titan.

Moving off Titan without losing mail

Titan speaks standard IMAP, so your history is portable. Start a Faivelo trial, add your domain, and let the migration tool copy every folder from the Titan mailbox while it keeps working. Nothing is deleted at the Titan end.

Then point the domain at the new host. If your DNS is at Hostinger, you paste an API token once and Faivelo writes the MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for you and removes the old MX entries that still send mail to Titan. Elsewhere, you copy the records Faivelo shows you into the registrar's DNS panel. Send yourself a test from an outside address, confirm it lands, and let the Titan plan lapse at its renewal date rather than paying another term.

Price your mailboxes before the next renewal

Start a 14-day trial, add the domain, and copy the Titan mailbox over. If three or more addresses are on your bill, the flat price pays for itself in the first month.
