Faivelo vs Proton Mail, answered
They make different trade-offs. Proton offers end-to-end encryption between Proton users and zero-access storage. Faivelo encrypts everything in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256) and never sells or mines mail data, while keeping standard IMAP/SMTP compatibility that end-to-end schemes give up.
Mostly cost and workflow: $6.99 per user adds up quickly, Proton requires its Bridge app for standard mail clients, and there is no bulk-sending or API. Faivelo is flat-rate, works with any IMAP client directly, and includes campaigns and a developer API.
Yes, directly — standard IMAP (993) and SMTP (587) with no bridge software. Proton requires its paid Bridge application for the same thing.
Yes — DKIM, SPF and DMARC are configured automatically when you add your domain, and DMARC protects it against spoofing from day one.
